Pima-UAZ STEM Bridge Program

Are you a STEM (science, technology, engineering or math) student who will begin your final year at Pima Community College in fall 2025, with plans to transfer to the University of Arizona (UAZ) in fall 2026? Are you looking for a supportive community of peers, faculty, and advisors to help you transition? Join the Pima-UAZ STEM Bridge program!

The University of Arizona STEM Bridge Program is a transformative initiative supporting academically talented, low-income students transferring from Pima Community College to pursue STEM degrees. The program has served 95 students across three cohorts since 2020, with an impressive 90% of participants persisting or completing their STEM bachelor's degree—far exceeding the national average of 1 in 10 community college students achieving this milestone. Students receive academic guidance, research opportunities, and culturally responsive mentorship, including support from University of Arizona faculty and peer mentors
